Tiltmeter Solution


Tiltmeters have  low cost, high standard and high reliability. They almost meet the tilt angle measurement of all industries, providing a variety of output modes which match client. In addition, we provide extra services of linearity filter, temperature correction and periodic calibration. We will provide customers with sensor integrated solutions from measurement, collection, record to control.


Definition of parameters for tiltmeter

Measurement range / axial:
tilt measurement generally consists of fore-and-aft direction (Y) and Left-to-right direction (X) in plane, each direction has a change process from the minimum angle to the maximum angle (it is 0 degrees in horizontal state).

This is our definition of measurement range and axial direction.

Repeatability:
it is the maximum deviation of the results of the same change process which is repeated several times. (most of the engineering and control applications)

Nonlinearity:
it is the percentage between the maximum deviation of the calibration curve and the fitting line of the sensor and  the full scale output (Y), which is called the linearity. (more research, absolute angle measurement applications)

Temperature drift (sensitivity / zero):
it is the percentage between the sensor sensitivity and the change of zero point output during each degrees Celsius  in the working temperature. In general, zero drift has a larger effect on the sensor accuracy.

Output signal:
We provide output of 0-5V, 4-20mA, RS232, RS485, wireless communications, and other modes of output.

Zero setting and Calibration of tiltmeter

Relative zero recalibration
In the analog sensor, the zero line (green) and ground wire (black) touch 3 seconds in the case of power supply, that is, the current position is zero.

Absolute zero recalibration
Partial inclinometer provides absolute zero setting function. In the zero mode, measuring the change value of 180 degree 2 times, the system automatically calculates the ratio of calibration to absolute zero.

Return-factory zero recalibration
 It is recommended that users do calibration for products above NA5000 every 2 years, and we provide the calibration report.
